September 2021 I retired from Purdue in 2013. I've enjoyed travel, Purdue women club, reading and friends. My mother died in 2010 at 98 years of age. I had a stroke in December of 2019. That affected my right side losing the use of right arm, and difficult of walking. I live at home with part time help. And would love to have you visit. Give me a call anytime. So sorry you weren't here for our 60th reunion, try to meet for the 65th reunion!!! 7/2011 How quickly in four
years our lives change. I'm still at Purdue Memorial Union in the Dining
Service Department with multi-unit manager responsibilities for our eight
Satellite cafe's across campus. I do enjoy retail and the challenges of
keeping them fresh with new products and merchandizing. Retirement is
about 2 years away. 1/2007 Since our last reunion I sold my
catering business to another caterer in town and went to work for that
banquet hall for three years before realizing there wasn’t any future. I
was hired and worked at Subaru Automotive making car doors for two years.
Purdue then called asked if I had any interest in interviewing. I did and
they offered me a job in their catering department. My primary
responsibility was the University President’s events, all off premise
events with the Catering Department at Purdue Memorial Union, and to run
the sit down restaurant, The Sagamore Room. (You might remember The
Chestnut Room? Same place.) |
